Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) has released an official notification for the recruitment of ITI and Vocational posts. HAL ITI and Vocational (10+2) Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Overview
eligibility criteria
- Qualification (ITI Trades): Passed 10th class or equivalent + passed regular full time ITI training (1 or 2 years as per trade) prescribed under NCVT or SCVT in 2023, 2024 or 2025. Must have pass certificate on the date of application. Appeared/result awaited/back paper/supplementary result awaited candidates are not eligible.
- Qualification (Professional Trade): Passed Intermediate (12th) examination in the year 2023, 2024 or 2025 with relevant vocational trade subject.
- Candidates who have received or completed Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act are not eligible.
- Students of COE (Center of Excellence) courses are not eligible.
- Only Indian citizens are eligible.
Salary/Stipend
- Stipend to ITI Trade/Vocational Apprentice will be payable as per Apprenticeship Act 1961.
Age Limit (as on 31 January 2026)
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 27 years
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD candidates in the respective category.

selection process
- Selection will be based on merit.
- Merit is finalized with 70% weightage to the percentage obtained in High School and 30% weightage to the percentage obtained in ITI (or applicable professional subject).
- In case of CGPA result, equivalent percentage (corrected to two places of decimal) as per certified conversion formula of the Board/Council will be used. Guessing is not allowed (for example, 86.45 will not count as 86.50).
General information/instructions
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PWD/HAL Employees Ward as per Apprenticeship Act 1961, Government of India and HAL Guidelines.
- EWS Certificate should not be older than 1 year as on 31/03/2026 (issued on/after 01/04/2025). OBC (NCL) certificate should not be more than 3 years old as on 31/03/2026 (issued on/after 01/04/2023).
- Dependents of HAL employees (serving/retired/deceased) are required to submit applications through HR Department of HAL.
- For ITI Trades: Must be registered on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and have valid registration number.
- For Professional Trades: Must be registered with Regional Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (RDSDE), Kanpur-208022.
- Duration of training: One year.
- Applications are accepted only by post/courier (normal or speed post).
- No TA/DA to appear in the selection process.
- HAL reserves the right to cancel the advertisement/selection process at any stage. HAL's decision is final and binding.
- Mere submission of application does not confer the right to participate in the selection. The decision on eligibility of HAL Kanpur is final.
- Provisionally selected candidates informed by post.
- Selected candidates will have to submit character certificate (issued by SP/SSP) and medical certificate (issued by CMO) as per residential address.
- Suppression of facts/false information can lead to cancellation at any stage.
- If found ineligible for misconduct/unsatisfactory performance at any stage or during training, candidature is liable to be cancelled.

- Fill complete and correct information.
- Attach all required self-attested documents (High School Marks/Certificates, ITI/Intermediate Marks/Certificates, NTC, Apprenticeship Portal Registration Copy (ITI), Aadhaar and PAN, Residence Certificate issued after 01/01/2023, Caste/EWS/PWD Certificate as applicable).
