eligibility criteria
- nationality: Indian citizen.
- Ability: Graduate from a recognized university.
- age criteria: Below 55 years of age (as on 02 February 2026).
- work experience,
- for government officials: Minimum 5 years regular service at Level-11 or above (7th CPC) in Ministries/Departments, Autonomous Bodies, Public Sector Undertakings, State Government Departments and State Public Sector Undertakings. Interest in cultural management including organizing cultural events and exhibitions.
- For private sector professionals: Minimum 8 years of work experience in the field of art, culture, management or public administration. Experience in cultural management including organizing cultural events, educational activities and exhibitions.
- domain area: Applicant must have excellent communication and proficiency in English skills. Proficiency in a foreign language would be highly desirable. Established credibility/interest in the field of art and culture.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in dealing with event management, exhibitions, seminars and conferences.
- Previous work in the field of diplomacy/arts or international relations.
- Experience of running cultural related institutions.
- Experience in personnel/administrative/financial work in Government/Non-Government bodies.
- Foreign experience or living abroad for study/work (preferably United Nations languages), Hindi and other Indian languages.
- Interest/expertise in any area of art, culture, literature, traditional Indian knowledge etc.
- Practicing artists and writers/scholars in the fields of art, culture and literature.
- Proficiency in social media, AV/stage setup, graphic design etc.
- Adequate experience in human resource management processes and IT skills, financial management.

selection process
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for presentation/personal interview at ICCR Headquarters.
- Virtual interviews may be permitted only in exceptional circumstances; The candidate will have to be physically present before the Selection Committee, if necessary.
- Names of selected candidates will be placed on a panel in order of merit.
- The panel will be valid for a period of 3 years and will expire on the expiry of 3 years.
- The deployment of empaneled candidates is subject to police verification, vigilance clearance, verification of previous service records, integrity certificate, passport and visa requirements and training.
- Joining the panel does not guarantee employment, job or assignment; The final decision on deployment rests solely with the ICCR.
General information/instructions
- This assignment will be for a period of up to 3 years and will be subject to the provisions of the appointment offer.
- Selected candidates (on deputation from Government) will receive their present salary + Foreign Compensatory Allowance (approximately ₹4-5 lakh per month) + other admissible benefits and allowances like transfer passage, accommodation etc. as per extant rules.
- Selected candidates in private sector will get Foreign Compensatory Allowance (approximately ₹4-5 lakh per month) + other admissible benefits and allowances.
- Candidates selected for posting abroad will not be allowed to hold any other job or assignment during the tenure.
- The Council reserves the right to modify the qualification, experience, age, eligibility criteria etc. if considered necessary.
- The Council also reserves the right to cancel the notification at any time without assigning any reason.
