AIIMS Patna Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Walk in for 75 Posts
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna (AIIMS Patna) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Senior Residents (Non-Academic) in various departments on ad-hoc basis for a period of 89 days. A total of 75 vacancies have been announced through AIIMS Patna Senior Resident Ad-hoc Recruitment 2026.
Candidates having MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by NMC/NBE and up to 45 years of age are eligible to apply. The selection will be conducted entirely through walk-in interview on 16, 17 and 18 April 2026 at AIIMS Patna. There is no online application – candidates have to appear directly on the interview date for their department.

Educational qualification
Candidates should have Post Graduate Degree in relevant department recognized by Medical Council of India/NMC/NBE – MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch or equivalent. For Clinical Hematology For seats, candidates with MD in General Medicine or MD in Pediatrics will also be considered.
age limit
Maximum age limit is 45 years As per date of walk-in interview (cut-off date). Age relaxation is applicable as follows:
SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates applying against unreserved vacancies will not be eligible for age relaxation. Only reserved category candidates eligible for age relaxation will be considered for reserved seats of their category only.
Reservation
Reservation for EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST candidates is as per Central Government rules. 4% horizontal reservation is applicable for PwBD candidates. OBC-NCL certificate should be valid for Central Government posts and should not be older than 1 year from the date of interview. EWS certificate should also not be more than 1 year old.

Fee should be paid through Demand draft onlypulled in favor of AIIMS, PatnaPayable at AIIMS, Patna. Cash, cheque, UPI, money order, postal order, or any other mode of payment will not be accepted and such applications will be summarily rejected. Application fee is not refundable.
AIIMS Patna Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process
Selection for the posts of Senior Resident (Non-Academic) will be purely walk in interview. There is no written examination.
- Verification of eligibility will be done through original documents on the day of walk-in-interview.
- Qualification and experience will be calculated as on the date of interview.
- In case of tie (equal marks), the candidate of older age (earlier date of birth) will be given higher rank.
- The final result will be displayed on the website of the institute: www.aiimspatna.edu.in. No personal information will be sent.
- Selected candidates will have to join within the scheduled date mentioned in the appointment offer.
- Selection is subject to medical fitness declared by the Medical Board appointed by the Institute.
How to Apply for AIIMS Patna Senior Resident Recruitment 2026
There is no online application process. Eligible candidates have to appear directly at the Walk-in-Interview venue on the date of their respective department.
1. Collect Documents: Gather a set of original and self-attested copies of Aadhar Card, Date of Birth Proof (SSC/HSSC Certificate), MBBS Degree Certificate, MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch Degree or Provisional Certificate, UG and PG NMC/State Registration Certificate, Category/PWBD Certificate (if applicable), Experience Certificate (if any), NOC from current employer (for Government/Private employees), and any research/publication document. Do it.
2. Arrange Demand Draft: Receive DD in favor of applicable fee amount AIIMS, PatnaPayable at AIIMS, Patna. (Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen, Women and PwBD candidates.)
3. Carry a passport size photograph: Bring a recent color photograph on a light/white background. Hats, caps and goggles are not acceptable. Wearing religious headgear is permitted if the face is clearly visible.
4. Report on your department interview date: arrive by 09:00 am At E-Classroom, Administrative Building, AIIMS Patna. The interview starts with from 10:00 am In Committee Room, Administrative Building, AIIMS Patna.
5. Fill the application form on this day: Complete the application form at the venue with correct personal, educational and category details. All signatures must be complete (not abbreviated) and must be identical in all documents. Once submitted, no changes can be made.
