ESIC has proposed to fill the total 118 professor Posts in various specialties with category-wise breakup as given below. Reserved vacancies include backlog vacancies 11 sc, 6 st And 23 OBC post, and 8 posts are reserved for PwBD Under categories (A), (B), (C) and (D & E) as per DOPT guidelines.

Selected candidates will be given appointment Pay Level‑13 Of 7th CPC pay matrix with Non-Practicing Allowance and other admissible benefits.

Selection will be done on the basis of Interview The ESIC selection is conducted by the board with probable shortlisting based on experience.

• If the number of applications is large, ESIC may shortlist candidates for interview on the basis of teaching experience above the minimum required level (Associate Professor/Reader or above) as per recruitment rules.
• Category-wise minimum qualifying marks in interview: UR/EWS – 50, OBC – 45, SC/ST/PWBD – 40 Out of 100 marks.
• Tie-breaking: Preference is given to the candidate older in age; If still tied, the earlier date of passing the required PG degree; If still tied, an earlier date for completing the internship is considered.

ESIC follows Government of India rules on age relaxation, community reservation and PWBD concessions.

• SC/ST – Upto 5 years; OBC – Up to 3 years; PwBD – Up to 10 years (maximum age not exceeding 56 years on closing date), cumulative relaxation as per norms for SC/ST/OBC PwBD.
• Ex-Servicemen and ECO/SSCO – Age relaxation up to 5 years subject to length of service and conditions of release certificate.
• Only candidates belonging to the castes/communities included in the central list of SC/ST/OBC and possessing valid, current certificate in the prescribed format will get the benefit of reservation; Multiple applications in different categories will be rejected.
