- Minimum Educational Qualification: Master's degree in Physics or Geophysics
- Preference: Preference will be given to candidates with computer programming skills and willingness to travel to remote locations for seismology field work.
Salary/Stipend
- Rupee. Rs.37,000/- + 30% house rent allowance per month
- With valid CSIR-NET/GATE/DBT – JRF/any other national level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions or equivalent scorecard.
Age Limit (as on last date of application submission)
- Not more than 35 years
- Age relaxation commensurate with the educational qualification and/or experience of the applicant may be considered for applicants having higher qualification and experience than advertised with prior approval of the competent authority.

General information/instructions
- The appointment is purely temporary and will automatically terminate without any notice or compensation on completion of the project.
- The appointee will not have any claim for appointment/absorption in the funding agency or IISER Pune.
- The appointment of the applicant will be governed exclusively by the terms and conditions of the funding agency applicable to the said project.
- The date prescribed for determining the upper age limit, educational qualification or experience will be the last date for submission of applications.
- The prescribed educational qualification must be obtained from recognized universities/institutions.
- The prescribed educational qualifications/qualifications are minimum and mere possession of these does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The Project Investigator may limit the number of candidates to be called for interview based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee.
- The number of posts may vary depending on the requirements during the selection process.
- The experience requirement may be relaxed depending on the batch of applications received, with the prior approval of the competent authority.
- If a selected candidate does not join or resigns after joining the post, the post may be offered to the waitlisted candidates.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
- No interim enquiry/correspondence/communication of any kind will be entertained on this matter.
