A total of 132 vacancies have been announced for 9 posts in the Mechanical/Project Department of KRCL. Reservation is as per the policy of Government of India. The number of posts is subject to change as per the requirement of the project.
KRCL Mechanical Department Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy all the eligibility conditions as on cut-off date 01-05-2026. Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the criteria before attending the walk-in-interview for a particular post. Incomplete or unclear educational qualification will be invalid. KRCL Mechanical Department Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit
The upper age limit for all posts is 50 years as on 01-05-2026. Age relaxation is provided to reserved category candidates as per government guidelines. Age relaxation for ex-servicemen is discretionary.
KRCL Mechanical Department Recruitment 2026 – Remuneration
The consolidated monthly remuneration includes Basic, DA, HRA, Conveyance and Mobile Allowance. The remuneration is classified as per A class, B class and C class cities. Subject to the requirement of KRCL and at the discretion of KRCL, the annual remuneration will increase by 4% of the consolidated remuneration after completion of each year. No accommodation and no food/mess allowance will be provided by KRCL.
Other perks/facilities: Payment of Insurance, Gratuity and Bonus as per the provisions of the New Labor Code-2026 (as applicable). TA as per existing KRCL policy for official travel beyond the project area. Supplementary Railway Pass for travel on duty as per existing KRCL policy. KRCL Rest House, if available during duty hours; Otherwise the hotel will reimburse the charges as per KRCL rates on presentation of the voucher. 15 days fully earned leave every 6 months (2.5 holidays per month); 8 days casual leave during the year. Weekly holidays and public holidays applicable at the place of posting.
KRCL Mechanical Department Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process
The selection process for KRCL Mechanical Department Recruitment 2026 is through Walk-in Interview. Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria may report for walk-in-interview directly at the specified venue along with one set of self-attested copies of all required certificates along with all original certificates and a copy of the application in the prescribed format (Annexure-A). Registration will be done only between 09:00 am to 12:00 pm on the date of walk-in interview.
After preliminary scrutiny of applications submitted individually, only provisionally eligible candidates will be interviewed. Depending on the number of candidates any other elimination round like Group Discussion (GD) or written examination may be introduced; Only those who clear the elimination round will be called for further selection. The decision of the Nominating Committee will be final and binding. No train/bus fare/TA/DA will be payable by KRCL for attending the walk-in interview. Candidates should be prepared to stay for at least 2 days at their own expense if necessary.

Applications not conforming to the prescribed format or having vague/ambiguous certificates or without certificates or being incomplete will be summarily rejected. Any kind of canvassing will result in disqualification of the candidate at any stage of selection without assigning any reason.
Documents to be attached with the filled application form (self-attested copies):
- Copies of certificates in proof of qualification (as per the qualification specified in the notification annexure)
- Copy of proof of date of birth (SSLC/SSC certificate/birth certificate)
- Copy of caste certificate in support of claims, if any (OBC-NCL certificate in prescribed format of Central Government; certificate not indicating validity will not be accepted)

- Two recent passport size photographs
- Character certificate from Gazetted Officer/Executive Officer certifying good moral character
All original certificates will also have to be brought for verification at the time of walk-in-interview. Selected candidates will have to pass a prescribed medical examination before joining the contract. Selected candidates will have to join within a maximum of 30 days from the date of issue of offer of appointment. Selected candidates will be required to execute an agreement and indemnity bond of Rs. Rs.50,000/- on stamp paper in favor of KRCL. 100/- or more.

- Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before attending the walk-in-interview for a particular post.
- Registration timings are strictly 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the date of Walk-in-Interview; Latecomers will not be registered.
- Candidates can appear for interview at this one venue only; No TA/DA will be paid for attending walk-in interview.
- This appointment is on a fixed term contract basis and will not result in regular/permanent absorption in KRCL service. Candidates will have to give an undertaking in writing to KRCL to this effect.
- The selected candidate can be posted and transferred any time, anywhere in the KRCL establishment during the contract period.
- The contract can be terminated by either party by giving one month's notice or by payment in lieu thereof. If the work is not satisfactory the contract can be terminated without notice.
- No accommodation will be provided by KRCL and no food/mess allowance will be paid.
- Even after contractual agreement, if any document/certificate/information is found incorrect or false, the contractual service will be terminated immediately without any prior notice along with legal action.
- Candidates who are already working in KRCL on contract basis and selected under this notification are not required to follow the notice period conditions for joining the new post; However, a relieving letter from the concerned Konkan Railway Authority will be required at the time of joining.
- The Corporation reserves the right to cancel/restrict/reduce/extend the contract process without any prior notice and without assigning any reason.
