Candidates must be aware of all the important deadlines related to answer keys, objection window and upcoming exam stages. Missing any of these dates may result in losing the opportunity to challenge wrong answers.
Once you download the provisional answer key, you can estimate your expected CBT 1 score using the official marking scheme. RRB NTPC UG exam follows a negative marking pattern, so candidates should keep the wrong answers in mind while calculating their marks.
score calculation formula
Estimated score = (number of correct answers × 1) – (number of incorrect answers × 0.33)
For example, if a candidate has answered 80 questions correctly and 15 incorrectly, the estimated score will be: (80 × 1) – (15 × 0.33) = 80 – 4.95 = 75.05 marks.
If a candidate feels that the answer to a particular question in the provisional answer key is wrong, they can formally challenge it through the official objection portal. RRB will review all the valid objections and release the final answer key accordingly. The result will be calculated on the basis of final answer key only.
