eligibility criteria
- The essential educational qualifications, experience, credit marks and other terms and conditions will be as per Schedule 'E' of the NIT Statutes, published in the Gazette of India on 24th July 2017 and 12th June 2023 and updated from time to time by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- The minimum educational qualifications and desirable areas of specialization in the Departments are given in Annexure II, which is available on the website of the Institute.
- The scrutiny of applications will be strictly based on the minimum essential qualifications along with the areas of specialization of the PhD degree mentioned in Annexure II.
- The candidate who does not fulfill the required specializations will be disqualified in the screening process.
- Candidates applying under OBC (NCL)/EWS category must submit valid certificate issued on or after 1st April 2025.

- Assistant Professor Grade-II posts are in Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
